But now it’s August and the summer crazies have caught up with us.
First, we have just returned from the 9-day Ukraine District Children’s Camp where we had a wonderful time sharing the love of God with around 100 children from throughout the country. You can continue to pray for the children that attended this camp, that the message they heard there will become real to them in their daily lives throughout this next year.
Second, we are working on our yearly registration with the Ukrainian government. This is always a very confusing and time-consuming process as we attempt to navigate a different culture and system than we are used to. Please keep us in prayer as we work through this process.
Third, we are welcoming a new family into our missionary team. Kyle & Rebecca Sukanen and their two boys are joining us in Kyiv this week. But they won’t be here for long. They are just stopping by for a few months on their way to Chisinau, Moldova where they will be serving.
And that only covers this week. The month of August has some very exciting adventures ahead of us as we welcome a Work & Witness team, attend the Ukraine District Youth Camp, and participate in a family camp in Moldova.
Even though it’s a busy time, we are still full of excitement to see what God is going to do in each of these activities. While it is easiest to see the effects of our efforts in activities like camps, God can use anything, even our registration process, to touch lives.
Hannah is now 9 months old and beginning to start new things like throwing fits, balls, and food. She recently discovered her hair, and she likes to put her finger in her nose.
