Yes, you read correctly - we are expecting a baby girl!!
June 5th marked our fifth year anniversary living in Ukraine and serving on the CIS Field! I can’t believe it’s been that long, and since then not only has Ukraine become our home, but our family has grown by two and a half people! Unfortunately, we were not able to celebrate very much because Joseph was in Kazakhstan for Central Asia’s District Youth Convention, and a few weeks later he went to Manchester, UK for the NYI General Convention. It’s amazing that in mere five years, by God’s grace, Joseph has been able to start preaching in Russian (although not very easily)!
Ree is still balancing the finances with a nagging family and pregnancy, but thankfully both Ree and our baby girl are still healthy! Hannah is elated, and Elijah still doesn’t understand what’s about to happen, but we are making preparations for the baby to come in November and preparing ourselves for our Home Assignment next spring when many of you will get a chance to see the new baby!!
Summer is a busy season throughout the CIS Field when we hold our district camps and VBS.
We are already six months into our “restart” with the Grace & Faith church. We have a wonderful core group, who is united in vision, and we’re praying for more to join us, and the first “bridge” activities that we will do to reach out into the community this fall.
Thank you very much for your prayers and financial support. We think of you often, although the craziness of this time of year and our life changes have inhibited our ability to communicate as often as we would like.
