Our big news for the month: Hannah is now 1 year old!
We spent a good portion of the month celebrating her and her life this month. Both sets of grandparents came out to visit, and all of us took a short trip to Lviv in Western Ukraine. We also threw Hannah a big birthday party. Although she won’t remember a single moment of it, we have enough photos that she definitely will think she does!
Also this month, we attended a field strategy meeting in Armenia with the whole missionary team and superintendents from our Field. It was wonderful to get together with our co-workers and brainstorm about the future. During this time we identified some areas that we, as a Field, want to focus on, including church planting and leadership development -- areas where we particularly feel God is leading our ministry.
At the same time in Armenia, a Field NYI Meeting was held with NYI leaders from all our districts. This meeting had three purposes: to plan an all-field NYI conference in June 2015, review the NYI strategy for the field, and spiritual leadership development of the leaders.
And to close out the month, we had a small group of friends over to celebrate the American holiday of Halloween. Joseph was a Ninja (not pictured), Ree was a small child, and Hannah was a strawberry.
